I believe I suffer from this, or a similar bug, on a Toshiba Tecra 9100
with an S3 Supersavage IX/C on 10.04 Lucid x86. Playback in totem shows
no video, only sound in the case of playing an flv file. If playing an
avi or mp4, a variety of differently coloured lines are shown, with
sound as normal.

When attempting to watch a video however, if you slowly resize the totem
window, you can see the video playback, albeit rather flickery. Stop
moving it (leaving go of the mouse button) and it returns to blackness.

I can't imagine this being an issue with my laptop not having enough
power, as it has a 1.7GHz Pentium IV, and 1Gb of RAM.

Installed version of xsever-xorg-video-savage is 1:2.3.1-1ubuntu1
