Well, I can't say my boot has slowed down. My last boots were about 8
seconds (with 'my' gdm fix, attached bootchart[1]) so it would seems
that any slowness will not be attributable to nvidia init timing.
However, if you were to tell me that your boot time used to be _less_
than that ... I'm all ears !

I'm spoiled either way!

[1] I attach an older one too for comparison; the comparison is not
completely fair because I've since loaded my workstation with apache2
mod-mono for my summer tech workshop :) this, and perhaps a few other
'gadgets' may have slowed down the boot a tiny bit.
