Message #89570
[Bug 638817] [NEW] KDE does not start; thrown back to login screen
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Binary package hint: ibus
In maverick beta, when logging in, KDE session shuts down immediately.
$HOME/.xsession errors shows:
...
Bus::open: Can not get ibus-daemon's address.
IBusInputContext::createInputContext: no connection to ibus-daemon
...
kdeinit4: Fatal IO error: client killed
...
The error appeared after today's "aptitude safe-upgrade", which updated
extensively a lot of kde-related packages.
I tried installing ibus, play with KDE configuration of input methods,
reconfiguring various packages, with no success.
