Same bug, but under metacity.
10.4, 2.6.32-24-generic, GNOME 2.30.2
Pressing a modifier (ctrl or shift) key with another key is needed for
the problem to appear.
Once triggered, the key repeats and cannot be stopped, bar a logout or
reboot.
However, haven't found a reliable way to reproduce the problem.
Some suggest it can be triggered when launching firefox while doing some
editing, particularly in the first 5 minutes of power on.
The problem is not dependent on compiz.
