[Bug 540547] Re: [Multi-GPU] No virtual terminals on radeon HD 3200/3400
Hi!
I use Ubuntu 10.04 with Gnome. I can not change the terminals with ALT-CTRL- F1 to F6 as written.
I use a Radeon HD 3470 Hybrid X2 graphics card on my Acer 6530.
Sometimes my computer crashes if i turn it off. The color of the screen is coloured in another way (dont find the right words) or it is changing in a "psychedelic" way (also can not explain it in english).
The bootscreen sometimes also shows dots and lines instead the ubuntu sign, but it is booting to the desktop.
My desktop effects are not activatet, and i use the free driver, not the
restricted one. If i use the restricted one i can not change the user.
I have tried Linux Mint 9 a few minutes ago. In the Live CD mode it is
possible to change the terminals. I have not installed it yet.
Sorry english is not my home language.
Good Byte,
Steffen
