[Bug 637582] [NEW] display crashes after within first minute

I have got a toshiba A100-165. With mobility radeon X1400. This runs fine under Ubuntu 9.10. But under Ubuntu 10.04 the display crashes within the 2 first minutes of session running. Everything is running fine butr the display I can control remotely the PC. The display however is blank and flickering, and definitely unstable.
I am using the free drivers radeon.
It would be great if that bug could be sorted out in the upcoming versions.
