Re: [Bug 658170] Re: ati catalyst proprietary display driver not working after upgrade from 10.4 to 10.10 (amd64 ATI Radeon HD 4650)

i ran jockey-gtk and there were no drivers.
i installed fglrx, which also installed fglrx-amdcccle.
i ran jockey-gtk again and it now shows up in the list, but says "this
driver is activated, but not currently in use". the only option in the
jockey window is the "Remove" button, no "Put it to use" button =)
so i ran: sudo aticonfig --initial
i logged out and just got a black screen
i rebooted and then it worked. wtf!? i tried all this and every combination
of proprietary drivers, xorg, fglrx drivers i could think of and never got
it to work! ok, thank you a ton, it now works =)
