[Bug 662545] Re: package fglrx (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: fglrx kernel module failed to build :::!!!ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT NOTE!!!::: When using Wine the default Mavrick drivers via software package management makes some games not work correctly, must install official 10.9 drivers for them to work!
The perfect test is Final Fantasy XIV via Wine 1.3.5. The game worked
fine if i install the 10.9 drivers, but if i reboot X will die so i'm
forced to use the drivers in Synaptic Package manager which are version
"2:8.780-0ubuntu2" which are indeed what the problem is....Is there any
plans to have this problem fixed so the "2:8.780-0ubuntu2" drivers will
work with wine properly like 10.9 originally can?
Wine is not the issue here because until i restart by installing the
10.9 drivers via ATI the games work fine, once i install the default
maverick drivers via Synaptic Package manager BAM, i'm screwed with
wine.....
