At the risk of being a me-tooer, I am experiencing this with the following card:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G96 [Quadro FX 380] (rev1)
01:00.0 0300: 10de:0658 (rev a1)

In my case, this is happening on meerkat. I don't know if the 10.10
instalation was working correctly as I used the alternative installation
disk.
