I went to launchpad and got python gdm2setup in a deb file and installed it
and now have the option of login screen under system>administration which
enables me to switch the background picture on my gdm login screen which was
what I was trying to accomplish. Ubuntu 10.10 did not have the option
available when I upgraded to it from 10.04.  Charlie White
