[Bug 633424] Re: maverick screen does not update except when mouse moves or key is held down

** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Confirmed

** Description changed:

+ [Workaround]
+ Use a 2.6.36 kernel. e.g.: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.36-maverick/
+
+
  Binary package hint: xorg

  The screen does update very reluctantly unless I move the mouse. This
  can be seen very well e.g. in sytem monitor resources. The graphs move
  smoothly as long as I wiggle the mouse, if I stop the graphs only update
  in fits and bounds. This does not happen always, but the system has
  gotten into this state rather regularly for as long as I have been
  trying maverick afair. The system also leaves this buggy state by
  itself. Often within a couple of minutes. CPU and IO load are normal at
  all times.
