Message #96596
[Bug 323053] [NEW] gsynaptics cannot enable scroll
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Binary package hint: gsynaptics
Gsynaptics worked fine in Hardy. After switching over to Jaunty, I'm
still able to enable/disable the touchpad and adjust the speed and tap
to click settings in Gsynaptic. The scroll settings are completely
useless, however. I can set circular scrolling and the changes update
synclient but are not picked up by X.
seanzer@blayze:~$ synclient -l
Parameter settings:
...
CircularScrolling = 1
CircScrollDelta = 0.03
CircScrollTrigger = 5
but when I go use xinput list-props:
seanzer@blayze:~$ xinput list-props 2
Device 'ALPS':
Device Enabled (93): 1
...
Synaptics Circular Scrolling (247): 0
Synaptics Circular Scrolling Trigger (248): 0
** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
