[Bug 667635] Re: LCD monitor works only at higher resolution (intel)
I managed to have other resolutions working fine by adding
xrandr --newmode "800x600"x60.3 40.00 800 840 968 1056 600 601 605 628 +hsync +vsync
xrandr --newmode "1024x768"x60.0 65.00 1024 1048 1184 1344 768 771 777 806 -hsync -vsync
xrandr --newmode "1280x720@60" 73.78 1280 1312 1592 1624 720 735 742 757
xrandr --addmode "(null)1" 800x600x60.3
xrandr --addmode "(null)1" 1024x768x60.0
xrandr --addmode "(null)1" 1280x720@60
to my .xprofile, and using kernel image 2.6.36-020636rc8-generic. With
standard kernel 2.6.35 the monitor is recognised as DP1, e not with the
strange (null)1, but trying to do the same trick just freezes the
monitor and is not sufficient to restart X, I need to reboot the
machine.
Hope this helps to better understand what is happening.
