  Binary package hint: synaptic
  
  the problem occured with lucid upgrade, formerly it was ok (using
  synclient + syndaemon did what it should).
  
  With lucid neither synclient, nor kcm-touchpad nor xorg.conf changes
  seem to have any effect on the behavior of the touchpad.
  
- When i change the settings in kcm-touchpad module and check with
- "synclient -l" the settings are indeed changed, however, they have no
- effect, at least the sensitivity and enable/disable alltogether do not
- work.
