I hate to add a "+1 Me Too" comment, but it is becoming slightly
embarrassing that no one has yet put this patch into Ubuntu. The fact
is, for years now Ubuntu has been advertised by many people as being the
OS that can bring your older hardware back to life. MILLIONS of people
must run Ubuntu on old hardware. This problem needs to be fixed ASAP.
