i have the same problem with medion akoya e1210.  in my case the culprit
seems to be the wireless driver and its disagreement with some power
management thing in the kernel. It uses the rt2860sta driver. When I
disable networking the computer runs fine with 2.6.35 kernel, it keeps
running fine when i enable ethernet, but as soon as wireless is enabled
it freezes on battery within 5 minutes.
