Hello Council,

I have been thinking about possibly another way we could restructure our
team that would still allow us to be our own team.

If you look at the way the team is laid out right now, we are basically a
off-topic place for youth that use Ubuntu (or any Linux for that matter) to
chat, so why not roll with that? We would not have any membership approval
process, the Launchpad team would be open and anyone that is on the council
right now would be an operator of the IRC channel. In terms of Op policy we
would use the policies already in place in #ubuntu-offtopic to moderate the
channel.

Again this is only an idea I had when I was riding in the car so before I
bring it up to the rest of the team. None of this is set in stone
please recommend additions, changes anything I want this to be a team
effort [?]

OR

We can still move forward with the BT merger but I personally am in favor of
the above idea.
