Re: Team Structure/Progress/

I'll tell you what,
I do really like this project, BUT -
first of all, i don't understand what it is for, everytime i'm asking this i
get an answer of "to have a place for youth", which makes me even more
confused. i don't see for what reason youth need to have it own different
place, if it has nothing special but the place itself (chat, forums, mailing
list).

What i suggest to do, is first to have some kind of events, to find together
with more people ideas how to make this thing work. i'll tell now that i
think we should try to make some kind of working-together-project to build
something nice that will make more youth come to Ubuntu (games for ex.). if
not that, we can work to have documentation, or to try getting stuff from
canonical that being sent for Ubuntu's youth.. i don't know, there are tones
of ideas, we just need to find something to make people to come. it doesn't
work like "welcome people and they'll stay" cause IMHO and from my
experience it won't work. you need something attractive, something that
people can see later and that we can say "yup, we did it, gorgeou, isn't
it?".

second thing, if you want things to move you should start doing by yourself.
indeed it's annoying, but that's the way things work.
I'm am an Ubuntu active for over 3 years now, and about half month an LoCo
Point of Contact. to consider that we are rebuilding ourselves now - i can
tell you that it's not easy at all. but, if i want things to happen, i do it
myself, i call everybody to help, if anyone wants to replace me or help, i
never say no, but until someone says something like that, doing yourself is
the best way to make things to happen.
I can promise you that after making things, people see all the work and want
to contribute themselves.

so, as i started: I do really like this project, and like staying in the
chat and to talk and stuff, but for now i don't understand what i can do,
and i don't find saying welcome to people or spreading Ubuntu over my class
as a contribution, since i do both without this project, and i'm personally
expecting it to be something fresh and new :)

Regards,
Dor :)
