Hi,

Most of us will know that if we want to save a Youtube clip viewed in
Firefox we could download an addon to help with this task. This can
also be done manually too as the video is cached in the tmp folder.

Once the Youtube video has fully loaded in the browser the file is
saved in the tmp folder as Flashxxxx (where xxxx seems to be a random
set of characters). Simply copy/paste this to another folder for safe
keeping. You can do the same action from the command line too - for
example,

   cp /tmp/Flash* ~/Desktop

If you want to save a video then you must do it before viewing another
video on Youtube else the current cached file will be overwriiten.

This above works under Ubuntu and assume would also work under Debian
and Fedora etc...
