Hi,

You need to try all the model options, not only 3stack-dig. After every
change to the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf file, you need to reboot
and retest sound.

Yes, you can try hooking up external speakers to the audio jack where
you connected the headphones.

Hopefully that will work as a workaround solution.
