Note that in linux we tend to use package managers to handle all the
download&install&update and these package maangers tend to have search
tools to help find equivalent software that's designed to run in linux
rather than Windows.  Often the software is much better and even if
something's missing or you want a feature added then then devs sometimes
write it in for you - not always, just sometimes but it's not the kind
of service you could get from a Windows package :)
