[Question #76302]: FYI: Adding a mobile broadband provuder

Question #76302 on mobile-broadband-provider-info in ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mobile-broadband-provider-info/+question/76302

Project: Ubuntu => mobile-broadband-provider-info in ubuntu

Description changed to:
I notice in Ubuntu 9.04 the mobile broadband settings only show Vodafone
for New Zealand, even though other mobile carriers have mobile broadband
services.

I'm still finding my way around mobile broadband (I usually use a wired
connection to a regular ADSL modem), but have discovered that Telecom
New Zealand's XT network uses similar settings to Vodafone. The main
difference is that the APN is internet.telecom.co.nz and the relevant
DNS numbers appear to include 210.55.11.73

(Not sure of the significane of the "restricted" and "unrestricted"
options, I tested the settings by choosing "vodafone" option and
editing.)
