The old computer was tyan trinity s 1590s with an amd 3dnow processor blazing along at 501 megahertz I was burning some cd's one night when a thunderstorm blew in. I heard thunder and heard a clunk coming from the computer. I ran in to the living room and saw flames coming out of the power supply and case. The smoke was coming out from everywhere in the case. I was shocked and had no idea what to do. I just kept thinking I need sand for an electrical fire so I am going to drive an hour to the beach?? hmm I unplugged it immediately. When the smoke cleared out two days later I salvaged the hard drive and gave the rest to the recycler. My colleagues in the orchestra felt bad knowing I spend most of my time and money trying to take care of my mom in the nursing home and got me this HP. I could be neurotic but I have never thought much of hp they are all flaky and slower than their specs would have you believe. Its flaky all right, sometimes it takes a full minute to fire up internet explorer but on the old one it opened immediately and this thing has 4 gigs of memory?
It *may* be possible to swap up but its hard getting a hold of the salesman and I may have missed the deadline already I don tknow and I am not positive what I would swap up to
