Question #76039 on network-manager-applet in ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+question/76039

    Status: Needs information => Open

sebass gave more information on the question:
Hi, here some feedback.

sudo /etc/init.d/NetworkManager stop

doesn't work, because after that:
sudo /etc/init.d/NetworkManager status
NetworkManager working
Also
sudo kill -9 3160
(id of NetworkManager)
doesn't work
That's in the nice case, most of the time, the system freezes.
Keyboard, everything.
Now, it's not hardware related, since in Hardy this didn't happen.
I'm using a usb Huawei 3G modem.
again, whit hardy I didn't have any problems, this happened after a python upgrade
in Jaunty, another friend has the same problems, also jaunty.
best regards
