I have 2 email accounts (same ISP), but decided I wanted to use Evolution as a client and keep the mails locally.

I successfully configured an account in Evolution; this became my Default, and I did Send/Receive which downloaded all the emails from that account into Evolution's Inbox.

I then configured a second account (same ISP and POP3 settings, different account credentials) and did a Send/Receive, and the progress showed my emails being downloaded

When that completed, to my horror the Inbox only shows the emails downloaded for the second account!! All the emails for the Default, first account have either been deleted (but are not in the Deleted folder) or are not shown!

I cannot find a way to show them, so I guess they have gone!

PLEASE can anyone help me out of my predicament! The emails are not on the server anymore so I cannot download them again!

[I cannot find where Evolution stores emails on the hard disk, in order to try and recover a file etc.  Perhaps some documentation on how Evolution works would be useful]
