Dear Isak,

Thank you very much for your time and patience for walking me through my
problem.

In following your instructions (very clearly explained by the way), I
noted that the file "dialog.xlb" was missing in my original
"~/.openoffice.org/3/user/basic" path.  This I think was the source of
my problem.  Now all goes well.

Thank you for solving my problem.  I am grateful to you and to this
helpful forum.
