You could, or should, also file a bug-report. But I think the devs know
about that buggy thing. You are not alone. Sadly many Ubuntu-Users are
suffering by this new kernel version these days. Not only sound is
broken... many different systems and symptoms are shown. Real pain in my
eyes.
