Question #76664 on nautilus in ubuntu changed:

    Status: Open => Needs information

Tom requested for more information:
Hi, several things that might help. Firstly have a quick look at the
easy parts (volume controls, preferences, & such) in the following
troubleshooting guides.

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingSoundProblems

If that hasn't helped then please let us know how you have installed
ubuntu. There's an easy way and a hard way (not much harder really
tho). The easiest way to tell the difference is that the 'easy' way
gives you only one option for booting into Ubuntu at the menu that
offers a choice between Windows and Ubuntu.

Thanks and regards from
Tom :)
