Can you provide the output of:

lspci | grep -i vga

The card may be ON-BOARD but this tells us nothing. My graphics cards
are allON-BOARD and range from an S3-Virge 4Mb to a GeForce 6150 128Mb .
Both of which have different installation methods.

Can you also please change the question relation from firefox to display
issues or something more relevant. The issue you are having has nothing
to do with firefox at all.

Once we get the output, we can proceed with a fix.
