Re: [Question #76991]: unable to install grub in hd0 Need help Please!!

Question #76991 on Ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/76991

Michaelrj9 gave more information on the question:
Ok I have it working Sorta....

What I did used G-Parted live and created NTFS partition for vista, created FAT32 partition for OSX (changed it later to the correct format) before installing OSX), created EXT3 for remainder free space. (no swap file)
Installed vista, then OSX then ubuntu but have to choose option to install side by side with other operating systems (default setting) it will alow you to shrink your current vista partition and then will install Ubuntu in the free space it just created. It will not install in the partition that was created in G-Parted. If you go to manual setup and use the partition that was created in G-Parted it will not instal grub...

The screen now shows all 3 systems (after I added OSX into the menu) BUT
The only thing I don't like is when I select OSX it still gives me the
option to select Vista (like when it was only the 2 operating systems
installed)

Any ideas how to correct this?

Thanks
