[Question #77032]: "status 127 " error on 9.04 install

I am getting the following error while installing 9.04:
init: rc-default main process (3035) terminated with status 127
The installation continues after this error but always freezes with the following error:
[120.XXXXXX] Memory corruption at low memory

I am running:
3GHZ Pentium 4 on
Intel D945GTP AAC97839-300 board (with BIOS disabled audio peripherals)

with two display adapters:
ATI-264VT2
Intel (on board) 82945G
