[Question #77046]: when I send an email the time is approximately 5 hours off. The clock on the computer which shows the time is correct, but when I send an email in the AM, it shows PM hours

New question #77046 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/77046

when I send an email and the time sent is different from the actual time. For example, i sent an email at 7:00 A.M. this morning, but the time reflects that is was3:50 P.m. how can this be when the clock on the desktop reflects the correct time. This problem has been going on for over 2 months.
