Re: [Question #76861]: no sound after a while windows partition works

Question #76861 on alsa-driver in ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+question/76861

Blas gave more information on the question:
Th troubleshoot says:

This is the steps that were necessary to get a Dell Dimension E520 with
Intel HDA and SigmaTel STAC9227 Codec to work after upgrading to Ubuntu
9.04:

sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf #should I do this still#

This part will depend on your soundcard, it consists of the module name
(snd-hda-intel) and the model I found in ALSA-Configuration.txt, 5stack:

options snd-hda-intel model=? whcih should I choose

My choices are

ALC267/268

 843 quanta-il1 Quanta IL1 mini-notebook

 844 3stack 3-stack model

 845 toshiba Toshiba A205

 846 acer Acer laptops

 847 acer-aspire Acer Aspire One

848 dell Dell OEM laptops (Vostro 1200)

 849 zepto Zepto laptops

anyone that can help would be nice!!

thanks again
