question 73108 was recently raised and answred this  also  applied to me . as i have acer 110 i followed the same instruction in the answer to question 73108. and blackelisted ath5k_pci and enabled ath_pci and i still have the same issue, wirless link start at 54m/bits and dribbles to 1m/bits. and i have have ubuntu 9.04running. this acer runs fine under linpus there is no dribbling of speed, has any one got any clue as to why the driver are behaving this way? and also installed the latest madwifi driver, i
the hardware in this acer is athros ar5bxb63? is there any way to manually fix the adapter speed to 54m/bits?
