I don't think your mbord is the problem here.

The main trouble is just getting into either of the Windows so it's
really a Windows problem.  Are your hard-drives, or were your hard-
drives, configured as a "raid" array?

There might be some oddity in your bios but i would definitely avoid
messing around in there without knowing more about what i was doing.
When you are booting up is there an indication of how to get into your
bios or of what version bios you have on your machine?  You can usually
get into your bios to have a quick look around and then escape without
saving changes - that's quite often a good way to start if you want to
risk it.
