Re: [Question #77100]: How to mount W95 extended (LBA) partition

Question #77100 on Ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/77100

    Status: Open => Answered

Damiano Venturin proposed the following answer:
"But the other partitions are linux partitions. " => so what?

sorry to sound a bit harsh, but in which part of the sentence am I not
clear? "you can't mount an extended partition!" and it's not due to my
will, I swear :-)

of course you don't have to trust me, that's why I did some deep googling: please read this:
* http://www.lissot.net/partition/partition-03.html
* http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial115.html
* http://en.kioskea.net/contents/repar/partitio.php3
   => <i>" Extended partitions were developed to overcome the limit of four primary partitions, as you can create as many logical drives as you want in them. At least one logical drive is required in an extended partition, as you cannot stored data in them directly. "</i>

Xan please answer to me:
a) can you mount all the other partitions? [I suppose yes, because you wrote it]
b) do you miss some datas?
c) why are you fixed on the fact that you have to mount sdc4? (that can't be mounted by any O.S, just because it doesn't contain any filesystem!)
