Re: [Question #77335]: Why do I keep getting updates for Firefox-3.5 and Firefox-3.5-branding?

Question #77335 on firefox-3.5 in ubuntu changed:

Tom proposed the following answer:
No, i've been trying to avoid that but it might help to do some routine
maintenanceon the update manager. Try going up to the top taskbar and
click on

Applications - Accessories - Terminal

and into the terminal/command window/console type

apt-get -h

the -h tag is useful for getting a quick cheat-sheet on how to use a
command. All the different linux distros, not just Ubuntu have this
feature.

apt-get clean

apt-get autoclean

apt-get check

That should hopefully de-clutter you update manager and you should be
able to complete that 3.5 update just one last time and then be free of
it *fingers crossed*. That was interesting that Shiretoko is Firefox
Development branch :)

Thanks all, good luck and regards from
Tom :)
