Re: [Question #77360]: uninstall package + all its dependencies

Question #77360 on Ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/77360

Tom proposed the following answer:
I would do this through synaptic package manager rather than on a
command-line although i'm sure there is a way to do this from there too.
Ok, so go up to the top taskbar and click on

System - Administration - Synaptic

then either serach tool should ehlp you find each of the 2 packages and
right click to uninstall should also pick out all their dependencies
automatically. There is some slight danger that it might remove a
little too much so it'd be wise to make sure you can use a LiveCd
session or that you have a dual-boot so that you can get back into here
to ask how to solve such a problem if it does go a bit wrong!

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
