[Question #77426]: permision problem with file deletion
New question #77426 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/77426
I have never used any kind of linux before and have no idea how they work, but i was told that root has ultimate power when it comes to files being deleted. I created a user for my friend with limited priveliges, he looked at stuff he shouldn't have been looking at, and so i deleted his user. the problem is, those files are still on my computer. i dont know how to delete them, and they could cause problems for me if they were found. when i try to delete them it says in the details: permision denied or something. now, i typed in the terminal "sudo rm /home/dragon" it asked for my password, and i typed it in and it said cannot remove /home/dragon: is directory, but i am the administrator so why is this a problem? i NEED these files gone and as a last resort i will format my HDD. can anybody help me?
