It's likely that you've inadvertently changed the mimetype association
for your folders. To reset it, remove any line beginning with
"inode/directory" from the following 3 files:
~/.local/share/applications/defaults.list
~/.local/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache
~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list
