I too think kmail is a better email client (expecially for powered
users) but Evolution could be simpler to use. I normally use Evolution
(after having used kmail for years) with maildir (as you can read in my
previous posts) and I have no problems. The only issue is that you have
to define two accounts (pop and maildir).
