[Question #77726]: Browser wont open, wireless connection option disappeared.

New question #77726 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/77726

I am using a Dell mini 9 which only has a few gigabytes of memory. I would download updates regularly. One time during an update, the memory became full and the computer froze. When I turned it off and on again, the wireless option dissapeared from the network options and the internet browser would not open. I tried using a wired network for the internet. It would connect fine but the browser doesnt open so I couldnt use the internet anyway. I tried to fix it myself using the answered questions on this website. I typed in "sudo apt-get purge network-manager-gnome" and it replies "dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem." Then I tried " sudo apt-get install network manager-gnome" and it said the same thing which was "dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem." Please help. Thanks.
