Ok The only other thing that springs to mind is that there might be
something in the way I am burning these CDs that is an issue? That seems
to be one difference.

I am also downloading one of the 'lightweight' linux packages mentioned
and seeing what happens.

I also have a Paid for SUSE 9.2 box set that I am going to dig out and
try (though I am sure I tried this before).
