Hi :)

I'm not sure that blocking cookies that extremely will really help.
Almost all sites use cookies so i tend to set the privacy settings to
allow them all, or if i get a choice then i set it to accept "trusted"
ones. The main thing that made a difference for me was "Adblock Plus" i
found something else that replaced adverts with artwork but i didn't
like the artworks chosen so i went back to normal settings.

We keep hearing that things like cookies are dangerous and to "only
allow at your own risk" and then every site sprinkles handfuls of them
all over the place and seems surprised by any objections.

My bank couldn't understand why i didn't sign-up for their on-line
banking service but right through several major security alerts about
vulnerabilities with ActiveX controls they insisted on people using
ActiveX to access their on-line banking "for security" - ie they were
completely wrong and forced their customers to be vulnerable to well
known exploits!

Anyway, cookies are almost always entirely harmless and even at worst
there's not much they can really do to a linux system ;)

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
