[Question #77921]: 1024x600 screen: Dialog boxes too high

New question #77921 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/77921

PC is a Samsung N10 netbook, with screen 1024x600 like many other netbooks.
Most of the dialog boxes from items in Preferences or Admin menus are taller than that and there is no way to move them around, to change their size etc... And you cannot read or access all the stuff that is below, beyond the 600 px line... (well... less than that as you have the panel on top and at bottom).
So in short, while Ubuntu is great, particularly for these tiny laptops, is it possible to get dialog boxes that can fit or can be re-sized (permanently, not everytime you open it) so they fit in the screen.
Many thanks.
