[Question #77928]: using apps which need jack server

i have installed ubuntu 9.04 on my toshiba satellite pro along with adual boot to linux-rt kernel. i have the main music apps for studio but i cannot get jack configured to start.by selecting jack-realtime it no longer tells me it cannot find jackserver but says could not start jack with this message::21:38:00.415 Patchbay deactivated.

can anyone explain this to me please?
