Hi,
The spam filter in Thuderbird is a filter that needs to be TRAINED. This
means that it does not work perfectly from the beginning. Everyday you
have to mark manually the spams, and (very important) to indicate all
false positive (no-spam messages marked as spam by the filter). The
training process can last for a few days to a few weeks, depending on
the amount of emails you receive. But after this, as far as I can tell,
filtering is close to perfect.
