i am running ubuntu 9.04 on a toshiba satellite pro.
these are my audio details
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)
Subsystem: Toshiba America Info Systems Device ff64
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 22
        Memory at 54300000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
        Capabilities: <access denied>

i have installed all the elements required for jack that i can find listed and the linux-rt kernel. jack only produces the message window "could not start jack" on any setting. can anyone please suggest any further things i can try?
