Nagarjun is still having a problem:
I tried the command which you suggested and then I got something like
The following extra packages will be installed:

libdbus-glib-1-2
Suggested packages:
uswsusp gdm-themes xserver-xepjyr xnest
Recommended Packages:
ubunut-gdm-themes gdm-theme
The following package will be upgraded:
gdm libdbus-glib-1-2

It asks me do u wish to continue and once if i click yes
it shows me like 

Err http//us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main gdm2.20.10-0ubuntu2
could not resolve 'us.archive.ubuntu.com
Failed to fetch the gdm file
E:Unable to fetch some archives,may be run apt-get update or try with --fix-mssing?


wht to do?
