Ok so yu are in 7.10?  Can you find gparted and tell us all the
information that it gives in the bottom half of it's window?  Thanks

Now go up to the button at the top right-hand corner - it should be
something like "/dev/hdc 74.4Gb Media".  When you click on it there
should be 2 options, please choose "/dev/sda ... "
